As a photographer, I know the importance of having your work seen by other people. We are simply a bunch of show offs. Why take photos if you don’t want people to see them?
The challenge for most of us is coming up with the finances to pay for all the framing, matting, mounting and printing.
Getting hung doesn’t have to be that difficult. Ezi Pix has come up with a way that we can all guarantee our work is exhibited.
Team work is the name of the game here. By amalgamating members work together, we can easily fill a gallery, and each member only needs to supply one or two photos.
We match your work up with the needs of a gallery, café, restaurant or library somewhere in Australia. We’ll tell you the theme they want, the size of the photo and style of framing/mounting required and you send it to them.
Set your own price and sell your prints. This is based on the price range given by the owner. If it’s too low or too high for you, then don’t enter to be hung in that exhibition.
Plenty of exhibitions will be offered throughout the year so choose the one that suites you best.
The owner will choose the work, based on their preference and style and with Ezi Pix approval.
Ezi Pix will find these outlets, however we encourage you to use our template letter to promote this offer to your own local galleries and cafes. Let Ezi Pix know once you have a venue and we will add it to our list to allow our members to enter for a chance to be hung.
We guarantee that you’ll be hung if you are the member who organises the exhibition. The owner will be advised that they need to choose at least two of your own photos as a privilege for organising the exhibition. Then you will be hung along with other Ezi Pix members.
Why not turn it into an event? You can work on having an opening launch night with the owner. Perhaps raise money for charity or just help their business to make extra sales.
As you improve and get more comfortable with exhibiting your work, and sell more and more photographs, you will have the experience and the money to go ahead and organise your own individual exhibition…and why not? You deserve to be hung!
